Mushroom Soup


Mushrooms Soup (For 4 persons)


  • 200 gms Mushrooms - cut finely lengthwise
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 medium onion - Chopped finely
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 7-8 Garlic Cloves - Peeled and chopped finely
  • 3 1/2 Cup water or vegetable/ chicken stock
  • Black pepper powder for garnishing
  • Salt to taste
  • 7-8 peppercorns
  • 1 small green chilli - finely chopped


  1. Add butter a non stick pan
  2. Once it melts, add peppercorns and let them crackle
  3. Add garlic and saute for 30 secs, then add onion
  4. Once onions get translucent, add mushrooms, green chilli and salt, and saute till all water from mushrooms evaporates. Keep on stirring in between
  5. Remove from heat, let it cool, and blend in a mixer to make a smooth paste
  6. Remove from the blender into a pot/pan, and add milk and water /stock
  7. Bring to a boil, and then keep on low flame for 2-3 mins
  8. Transfer to soup cups/mugs/bowls, garnish with black pepper powder, and serve hot with croutons, or soup buns/ sticks
