Puff pastry slices with marzipan filling – Quick recipes from my kitchen
There are moments in life when time just stops. One such moment is the birth of a baby. Space and time are blurring and you are in your own world for a time where there is no deadline, problems that need to be resolved or where there are any other obligations waiting for you. Such a small new life has to be experienced and enjoyed with all senses – the tiny feet and hands marveled, the wonderful baby-breathe breath, the soft skin and the velvety hair are felt and the first sounds are heard. It's a magical time …
We were able to welcome our baby in October. I now have female support, so that there is a balanced relationship in our family again. Welcome little mouse! We are very happy that you are here!
At some point the time comes when you have to emerge from your vacuum again. Also family and friends want to marvel at the little miracle. Since I hate to receive my guests without a trifle, today there is a recipe that really ratzfatz goes and tastes very delicious – puff pastry slices with marzipan filling. The great thing about puff pastry is that it can be filled with all sorts of ingredients. It does not always have to be sweet, cream cheese and smoked salmon or the combination of ham and cheese are also great. The possibilities are unlimited.
Puff pastry slices with marzipan filling
Fast puff pastry with marzipan filling – for spontaneous visit or a small appetite in between.
Cooking time:15 minutes
Total time:25 minutes
1 Roll puff pastry out of the refrigerated rack
200 g marzipan
1 Pinch of cinnamon
roasted almonds (optional)
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.
Unpack the puff pastry and roll it out with the rolling pin.
Cut the marzipan into small pieces and mix with the egg and cinnamon. This is best done with the hand mixer with the whisk attachment.
Now the mass is distributed on the puff pastry. If you want, you can spread roasted and chopped almonds on the cake. Then the puff pastry from the long edge is rolled up into a roll and cut into approximately 1 cm wide snails.
Lay out a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the slices on it. Before the plate comes into the oven, distribute a few more drops of water on the plate. So the puff pastry goes nice later.
Bake the puff pastry slices for about 12 minutes or until the particles have risen beautifully and the marzipan has taken on a golden brown color.
