There are desserts I can not resist. Eton Mess for example. Right now, when the strawberry time is so slowly gaining momentum, I love the sinful dessert.

But let's face it, the combination of cream, strawberries and meringue is pretty powerful. That's why I quickly replaced the cream with natural yoghurt. Delicious result is the strawberry rhubarb Eton Mess without cream and with a lot of enjoyment.

Did you know that Eton Mess is a traditional English dessert? Its origin is said to have found the treat at the time-honored Eton College. There Eton Mess has always been served at the annual cricket match.

Traditional for Eton Mess only strawberries used. But I think: If we are a bit experimental, we can also give strawberries their best buddy rhubarb to the side, right?

After all, it is well known that sweet strawberries and sour rhubarb are an absolute dream team. If then also crunchy meringue pieces come into play, very big taste cinema is inevitable.

The only downside to the strawberry rhubarb Eton Mess without cream: the meringue pieces dissolve in the yoghurt after some time. For this reason, you should prepare the light Eton Mess just before serving.
