Halloumi burger with grilled vegetables – quick recipes from my kitchen
One of the most popular recipes on this blog is the recipe for the Burger bun, And yes, we really love these rolls very much. I do not even know how many times I have baked her this year alone.
The first thing that comes to us every year on the grill when it's reasonably warm outside is burgers. Funny that I have not published any of our burger recipes here yet. It's time to change that!
So I brought you a delicious burger recipe for you. It is even vegetarian. Who prefer it vegan like, he just exchanges the halloumi for tofu. Simple but just as delicious! 🙂
This Halloumi burger with grilled vegetables is full of great flavors that create a true taste explosion in the mouth.
First marinate the Halloumi in a curry-oil mixture, so the Halloumi gets a wonderful touch.
Put the vegetables into a simple garlic-oil mixture to get the most out of your vegetables.
Another little tip on garlic: If you have a problem with the subsequent garlic smell, then remove the stalk, which is evident when you cut the garlic in half.
The halloumi burger is not just an eye-opening – it tastes fantastic. Granted, the preparation time is about 40 minutes. So it's a bit more elaborate than my usual recipes, but I would not publish the recipe here if it was not worth it. 😉
I highly recommend you to use the honey mustard sauce for meat burgers. She is stirred together very quickly and peels the burger on wonderful.
Halloumi burger with grilled vegetables and curry sauce
This Halloumi burger with grilled vegetables and a mustard-honey sauce is full of great flavors that create a true taste explosion in the mouth.
Cooking time:15 minutes
Total time:45 minutes
1 1/2 TL curry powder
3 Tablespoons olive oil
1 big onion
1 clove of garlic
5 Tablespoons olive oil
35 g medium hot mustard
10 g sugar
10 g honey
40 ml of olive oil
3 Burger bun
Cut the Halloumi into about 0.5 cm thick slices.
Mix the curry powder with the olive oil and marinate the Halloumi for about 30 minutes in the curry sauce.
Slice the onion into rings and slice the aubergine and zucchini.
Peel the garlic clove and squeeze it in a garlic press. Stir the garlic with the olive oil and add some salt and pepper.
Marinate the vegetables for about 20 minutes in the garlic-oil mixture.
In another bowl you now stir the curry sauce. Put the mustard, sugar and honey in a bowl and mix well with the whisk. Now slowly add the olive oil and stir with the whisk all the time, creating a homogeneous sauce. Finally, season the sauce with pepper and salt.
Grill the vegetables on the grill or in a grill pan on the stove for a few minutes on both sides.
Grill the halloumi on the grill or in a grill pan on the stove until it is golden brown on both sides.
Meanwhile halve the burger rolls with a knife and bake them briefly in the oven or on the grill.
Take the tomatoes and slice them.
Now it's time to assemble the burger: Take the bottom half of the burger roll and sprinkle with 1-2 tablespoons of mustard-honey sauce. Then follow the vegetables and the halloumi and 2 slices of tomato. Now comes 1 tbsp of the mustard honey sauce and the top of the Bürgerbrötchen on it. Finished!
Oh, I get appetite again when I write about the recipe. Too bad that everything is already eaten.
What is your favorite burger recipe? I am always open to new ideas. 🙂
