From the ingredients, the bread is absolutely simple, you need yeast, sugar, flour, garlic, eggs, butter, olive oil, cheese and lots of fresh basil. So in the best case only ingredients that are already in your pantry anyway.
And this bread! It all starts with a golden-brown, cheese-coated crust, which, piece by piece, is pulled apart to release perfectly fluffy, soft wheat bread that is criss-crossed with garlic butter. Hearty, spicy and crumb from the corner of your mouth licking well!

This grill bread is definitely not in the 15-minute recipe category. Means: The bread needs a little preparation. Namely kneading preparation in the sense of dough, let it go for an hour, bring it into shape and let it go for another half an hour. But. This divine garlic, fluffy bread rewards you twice and thrice and fivefold for the wait.

Garlic cheese Zupfbrot
This garlic-cheese-pluck bread is simple and incredibly tasty. With garlic butter, basil and extra cheese!
Calories per serving: 260kcal
25 G yeast fresh
1 TL sugar
1 TL salt
50 ml olive oil
500 G Flour
1 TL Knoblauchgranulat
75 G butter
2 Garlic cloves chopped
1 handful basil in stripes
50 G Parmesan grated
Mix yeast with sugar and 200 ml of lukewarm water and leave to stand for 5 minutes.
Add eggs, salt, olive oil, flour and garlic granules and knead for 10 minutes. Form the dough into a ball, sprinkle it with olive oil on the outside and place it in a bowl lined with olive oil. Let one hour in a warm place.
Melt butter gently and add garlic. Knead the dough well again, then roll it out to a square. Spread the dough with 2/3 of the garlic butter and sprinkle with basil, then cut horizontally into 5 equal strips. Stack the strips on top of each other, then halve in the middle. Fold each half into an accordion and place in the garlic-buttered dish.
Let dough rest for another 30 minutes. Then place in the oven preheated to 220 degrees upper-lower heat. Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to 170 degrees and bake for another 25 to 30 minutes. Sprinkle with the cheese 15 minutes before the end of the baking time. Enjoy.
