A pesto that makes everyone rave: walnut pesto with Parmesan
Pasta is great. I like to eat pasta with different sauces or pesto. Today I tell you the recipe for my absolute favorite pesto. The preparation is straightforward and of my guests, I have received only praise so far.
For the dish it is worth to roast the walnuts before the preparation, so get the nuts an even better flavor. As noodles to the pesto own short varieties like Penne or Rigationi.
The pesto is great to prepare in advance. When guests come, you just cook your favorite pasta and the delicious meal is ready.
Delicious walnut pesto
A great alternative to basil pesto & Co. – a delicious walnut pesto
200 g of walnuts
3 cloves of garlic
1 bunch of parsley
150 g of Parmesan
150 ml of olive oil
1 pinch of cinnamon
First, the walnuts are roasted in a pan.
Then peel the garlic and wash the parsley and chop it roughly.
Chop the walnuts, garlic, parsley and Parmesan one after the other with a food processor.
Now mix the ingredients with the olive oil in a bowl, add a pinch of cinnamon and season with salt and pepper.
The pesto keeps well covered with olive oil in the fridge for about two weeks.
