OF STREBER COOKIES AND IGEL CUTS
THE BLOGGEREVENT # STREBERPLETZCHEN IN LEIPZIG
1 1/2 weeks ago I was invited to Streberplätzchen bake to Leipzig. An invitation that I, of course, could not resist. Anja from the Leipzig lifestyle blog SchönerLeben has organized this event for 13 bloggers from Central Germany with a lot of passion and attention to detail.
In a nice restaurant, named Mr. Berg's garden, which hides in an allotment garden in Leipzig Lindenau, she has found a wonderful place for this event.
The theme of the event was to bake and decorate cookies without fiddling with the little hands of children. Great topic in my opinion, because in my home four of these small children's hands can be found, which sometimes make it not so easy to produce photogenic biscuits. 😉
By the way, we met, talked, talked shop, laughed and photographed. So I got to know many great women with exciting stories and blogs this evening.
Under the professional guidance of Franziska, a trained pastry chef from the Café Maitre in Leipzig, we have produced (almost) perfect streber cookies. She has shown us how we decorate biscuits, making syringe hats and stood by our side with help and advice. We decorated three different biscuits and ate well this evening. Thank you, Mr. Berg!
In the picture collage you can see some impressions of the evening with the different biscuit creations.
In addition to penguins and reindeer, we also baked very cute hedgehog biscuits. Since I find the idea so ingenious, I present you the recipe for these little hedgehogs here. It is not the original recipe of this evening. I could not wait at home to bake the hedgehogs with my little son and so I put together my own recipe.
The original recipe as well as further optical impressions of this evening can be found on Anja's blog in this post: Of streber cookies, hedgehog biscuits and tackling…
